Ep 41: Founders Need Passion and Focus, Right?

In this Episode, Shark Tank Season 13 Episode 11- teaches us something about Focus and Coachability.

On Shark, Lori Greiner asked Leila Sham, founder of TA3, would you consider licensing your swimsuit shaping product. The response “I’d never do that”.  With that, the last shark was “out” and Leila didn’t get a deal. I’m sure the publicity from being on the show will be fantastic; If that was her goal, excellent. But if the goal was to land a shark and get their advice and access to their network then it was a bust.

Too much focus can mean you are not open to listening. You are closed. Your mind is made up. And from an investor’s perspective – you are not coachable.

In this episode, I discuss what it means to be Focused and Passionate about yourself and your dream. Yet develop the Soft Skills to be able to work with others to build your company quicker, faster, and better.
