If you ended up here, TheSavvyFounder website was shuttered July 2026.

From 2021 to 2024, The Savvy Founder was where I worked with early-stage founders — as a coach, advisor, and Entrepreneur in Residence. The podcast ran more than sixty episodes.
The podcast was – Not fireside chats. Not success stories told backward from the finish line.
You can’t cross the same river twice. That’s why I started The Savvy Founder. Too often I heard successful founders say, in effect, cross where I crossed. Do what I did. But the river of five or ten years ago is not the river a founder is standing in now.
The guests on this show were still in it: navigating uncertainty, wrong turns, and breakthroughs that didn’t come from a playbook. That’s what we talked about.
The episodes are still up on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
Building in Southern California?
I still work with early-stage, high-tech, high-growth founders through the University of California, Riverside. If that’s you, find me on LinkedIn — happy to explore whether it’s a fit.
Where the work went
I now focus on generative AI — specifically how it can make us better thinkers and better decision-makers. I wrote CRAFT Thinking™, a playbook for clarity and better decisions with AI, and I work with private companies and board directors through Savionai. My writing lives on substack: The Shift. Lift.
